General Summary: Designs, implements and manages the College's planning processes including strategic planning.

Requirements: Master's degree required, doctorate preferred in assessment, curriculum and instruction, institutional research, institutional effectiveness, planning, higher education administration, statistics, operations management, organizational leadership or related field from a regionally accredited university and progressively responsible higher education leadership experience. Excellent oral, written, organizational, analytical, change management, and problem-solving skills. Experience in designing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research, data analytics, reports and presentations, and building technological integration. Demonstrated collaboration skills across higher education domains. Demonstrated commitment to development of an inclusive, diverse, and equitable academic environment.

Duties:

1. Leads the College's Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Team.

2. Serves as accreditation liaison officer to Middle States Commission on Higher Education, coordinates accreditation activities, and maintains accreditation records.

3. Provides structure and expertise to the Strategic Planning process.

4. Provides structure and planning expertise to the Master plans for the various divisions of the college.

5. Ensures effective institutional research services to support compliance reporting and general research assistance as they relate to initiatives impacting organizational performance.

6. Develops practices for meaningful data sharing processes that clearly tell the story of the institution.

7. Coordinates all assessment processes.

8. Collaborates with the President's Cabinet for overall plan development to ensure alignment with Vision, Mission and goals of the College.

9. Works with College leadership to align financial budgeting with strategic planning, including synchronization of the budget process with the planning process.

10. Leads the College in developing and maintaining a culture of evidence and data-based decision making.

11. Adheres to and maintains policies and procedures designed to foster high standards of ethical conduct, including data integrity and confidentiality.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances and are available here.

Vaccination: Effective November 1, 2021, as a condition of employment, all new employees of Community College of Allegheny County must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of their vaccination or have received an approved exemption to be an employee. Prospective employees who are offered a position can request an exemption from this vaccine requirement for religious or documented medical reasons. Exemption requests will be reviewed for approval on a case-by-case basis by the Office of Human Resources
